The First Page of the Book

It hurts you as a person to be in the circumstance in which you are not aware of the fact that your social life is much closer to empty than full. Your social life is empty when it has no meaningful relationships, each of which is necessary to shorten the distance between your life and your ideals. The lack of such awareness can be found in people who do not know how to answer many of the questions such as those listed below.

  • What is a relation; what is a relationship; what are the differences between the two?
  • On which day does a relation begin or end; on which day does a relationship begin or end?
  • Which current relationships are meaningful to your life, and why?
  • Which relationships are missing from your life, and why?
  • How should one go about starting a new relation, relationship?
  • How could one make an existing relationship more meaningful?

Many of such questions are addressed by this book as well as by its complimentary online course “Relationship Slingshot”. Both are based on the 2017 book, Thumos: Adulthood, Love & Collaboration, written by my friend and mentor Nickantony Quach and his coauthor Mark Canny, and various videos published on Ri4CTV at YouTube.

The Second Page of the Book

Hello,

My name is Alec Mustafayev and I was one of those clueless teenagers who did not know any better. I was not aware of the fact that my social life was empty. The lack of such awareness hurts me in my youth, and its ramifications hurt me even now in my adult life. That’s why I want to help by writing this book and doing the The Thumoslang Experiment. Hopefully, I will thus become eventually The Last Clueless Teenager.

(Coming soon: the rest of this book, when the project is under way)
